Marleen Rooders starts as Chief Growth Officer at Paazl’s parent company Wuunder.

Amsterdam – Logistics service provider Wuunder has appointed Marleen Rooders (37) as Chief Growth Officer, as of July 8, 2024. In this role, she will pursue the ambitious growth objectives and aim to successfully guide the scale-up phase of Wuunder and its subsidiary Paazl. Her focus will be on refining the strategic direction, optimizing finances and strengthening commercial opportunities. In this role, Marleen will also take the financial tasks over from Bart Takkenkamp, who left the organization on 1 May.

Marleen is no stranger to the logistics world. She started her career at TNT, where she fulfilled various operational, commercial and strategic roles. She then moved into consultancy at BearingPoint, where she specialized in digital transformation and business model innovation. In recent years, Marleen worked at GLS as Chief of Staff for the CEO and was also responsible for developing and implementing the global strategy, and was ultimately responsible for the company’s marketing and communications.

Extensive experience with growth transformations

Marleen is a valuable asset to the Wuunder board, bringing with her years of experience in guiding growth transformations.

Jeroen Gehlen, founder of Wuunder: “We are very happy that Marleen will contribute to the growth we are currently experiencing. Her experience in guiding growth transformations will help us take Wuunder to the next phase. She knows the market well and has a keen eye for what opportunities still exist for our organization. I look forward to working with Marleen and Victor Ferreira, who recently joined the board, to continue building on the foundation we have already laid with the team. This way we can help even more companies in optimizing the last mile, and contribute to a more sustainable way of delivering goods.”

Marleen, talking about her new position: “The logistics market is changing enormously and the digitalization of the last mile is of great importance to e-commerce players who are looking to remain competitive. Wuunder and Paazl are excellently positioned to solve this issue, and to help e-commerce companies grow by improving the last mile. I am very much looking forward to getting started and guiding Wuunder into this phase of growth, where we will take our service offering to a new level.”
